The Learning Management System (LMS) is an online training tool hosted by the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights. To enroll in a training module, please register for a free account using your .gov e-mail, and establish a unique password.
Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions about the new LMS.
Do I need to create an account to access the LMS?
Yes, all current covered employees of the legislative branch of the federal government will need to register for a free account using their .gov e-mail, and establish a unique password.
I have used the OCWR LMS before. Do I need to create a new account?
Any OCWR LMS users who created an account prior to June 1, 2024 will need to register for a new account. Current covered employees of the legislative branch of the federal government can register for a free account using their .gov e-mail, and set up a unique password.
I started a training module on the old LMS, but I did not finish. How do I receive my certificate?
If you did not finish a learning module prior to June 1, 2024, you will need to restart the module in the new LMS. A certificate will be generated upon your completion of the new module.
If you finished a learning module prior to June 1, 2024, and need a copy of your certificate, please contact the OCWR’s Outreach and Education Team at OCWRtraining@ocwr.gov. Include “Training Certificate” in the subject line.
Do the new LMS modules satisfy my workplace training requirements?
The “Recognizing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment in the Workplace” module meets the requirements of S.Res. 330 for Senate staff. This training does not substitute for the House-mandated training for Members, Officers, full-/part-time staff, interns, detailees, and fellows. All other legislative branch staff should check with their employing offices to see whether this training will satisfy their offices’ requirements.
