OCWR Inspections on Campus
The Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR) has a team of occupational safety and health (OSH) specialists that works to ensure that the more than 18 million square feet of legislative branch buildings and grounds are safe and accessible for employees and the visiting public with disabilities. The team has been hard at work on the Capitol Hill campus inspecting facilities as required by the Congressional Accountability Act (CAA), which applies parts of the OSH Act to the legislative branch. The OSH team also responds to safety and health concerns raised by employees and employing offices in the legislative branch.

OCWR Training Catalog
The OCWR Outreach and Education Team has a new training catalog that provides an updated and customizable program of education and training to inform legislative branch staff of their workplace rights and protections under the CAA. The new catalog outlines eight training webinars, including courses on the CAA, Bystander Intervention, and Civility and Inclusion, and can be found on the OCWR Resources and Training page at ocwr.gov.
The OCWR training program is designed to promote compliance with the CAA and to support a safe, civil, and productive legislative branch workplace.
All programs provide opportunities for audience engagement, and staff are actively encouraged to participate.
