New Know Your Rights Brochure
The Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR) has revised its Know Your Rights in the Legislative Branch brochure with updated information on the OCWR’s administrative dispute resolution process under the Congressional Accountability Act (CAA).
The brochure also provides information on the work of the OCWR, who is covered by the CAA, and the workplace rights and protections afforded by the Act, along with OCWR contact information.

The CAA requires legislative branch employing offices to provide their employees with workplaces that are free from recognized hazards. Legislative branch employers and employees are also required to comply with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
The OCWR Office of the General Counsel enforces the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHAct) as applied by the CAA. Individuals alleging a violation may file a request for inspection with the OCWR General Counsel. OCWR Training Opportunities
Civility and Resilience – In-Person
These one-hour in-person trainings sessions focus on workplace civility and resilience. Registrants can sign up to attend one or both back-to-back sessions.
Civility reviews the concept of workplace civility, examines conflict management practices, and proposes strategies to create and maintain civility in the workplace. Resilience explores the importance of the ability to adapt and recover from difficult situations, examines possible barriers to resilience, and proposes strategies to enhance the resilience of employees.
The Congressional Accountability Act – Webinar
This training session focuses on the workplace protections applied by the CAA and explains the role of the OCWR in administering and enforcing the CAA.
