Ergonomically designed office spaces provide many advantages for both employees and employers. They promote increased employee focus, attention, and engagement; enhanced productivity and work quality; improved employee morale, mood, and energy levels; reduced employee stress; lower risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders; and minimized business costs associated with employee injuries and absenteeism.
The Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR) Ergonomic Outreach Program provides guidance, self-evaluation materials, and information to request an on-site evaluation of your workspace. Created by the OCWR’s Occupational Safety and Health Specialists, this program assists employing offices and individuals to develop, design, or update their own ergonomics programs.
